House Speaker Mike Johnson added his own endorsement too, calling Donalds “a principled conservative leader” Floridians can trust as their next governor.
Fishback, by contrast, polls around just 9%, according to recent tracking, despite his aggressive campaigning and willingness to attack Donalds directly and repeatedly.
If elected, Donalds would become Florida’s first Black governor, a historic milestone that’s added additional weight to what’s already one of this cycle’s most closely watched gubernatorial primaries.
